What Are Buddies?
Buddies are bound spirits that follow you and provide passive stat buffs and small active abilities. Every player can equip 1 main Buddy and 1 sub-Buddy.
How to Unlock Buddies
- Reach Mastery 50.
- Find the Spirit Binder NPC in Rukongai (Soul Reaper / Quincy) or Hueco Mundo (Hollow / Arrancar).
- Complete the 3-stage bonding quest.
- Get your first Buddy for free (random roll).
Buddy Rarities
- Common — minor stat boost only.
- Uncommon — small active ability.
- Rare — mid-tier active + passive.
- Legendary — unique ability (e.g. Cero reflect, auto-heal).
Best Buddies for PvP
- Konpaku (Legendary) — auto-heals when HP < 30%. Once per minute.
- Reishi Core (Legendary) — passive ability-damage +8%.
- Small Hollow (Rare) — small Cero on ability cast.
Best Buddies for PvE
- Soul Candy (Rare) — XP/Mastery +10%.
- Little Quincy (Rare) — auto-attack ranged spirit arrow.
- Tiny Arrancar (Legendary) — +15% drop rate.
Leveling Buddies
- Equipped Buddies gain XP as you play.
- Level cap: 50. Each level adds +2% to the Buddy's bonus.
- Feed Spirit Candy items to speed leveling (drop from Rukongai bosses).
Rerolling Buddies
Summon more at the Spirit Binder for 10,000 Kan (in-game currency). Rare+ drop rate ~8%; Legendary ~1%.
